Zoom Advocacy Consult

The same school-side expertise, available to families anywhere in the country. No geography required.

What this service covers

IDEA is a federal law. The rights it gives your child apply regardless of which state you live in. What changes is the district, the local culture around special education, and the specific policies in your state. What doesn't change is the framework, and that's what Meghan knows.

Families from California to Florida, New York to Texas, have worked with Meghan via Zoom. The IEP documents look different. The school district names are different. The underlying legal obligations are the same.

Whether you need a one-time document review, help preparing for an upcoming meeting, or ongoing support over several months, all of it is available remotely.

What's included

  • Document review and consultation via secure video call
  • Preparation for any upcoming IEP, eligibility, or reevaluation meeting
  • Strategy for disputes, denied requests, or inadequate placements
  • Understanding your rights under your state's implementation of IDEA
  • Guidance on working with an attorney if escalation becomes necessary
  • Follow-up support and availability between sessions as needed

Who this is for

Families anywhere in the United States who cannot access in-person advocacy or prefer remote support. All services available via Zoom: IEP review, meeting prep, meeting attendance via phone/video, eligibility strategy, 504 guidance, and ongoing support.

How it works

1
Schedule and prepare
Choose from available times and send any relevant documents in advance. Meghan reviews what you share before the call so you start informed, not from zero.
2
The Zoom session
A focused, structured conversation — your situation, your documents, your questions. Meghan knows IDEA and knows how districts operate. You leave with specific answers, not general information.
3
Follow-up support
After the call you receive a written summary of what was discussed and recommended next steps. Availability for follow-up questions is included.

Common questions

What technology do I need? +

Any device with a camera, microphone, and internet connection. Zoom is free to use. Meghan sends the link.

Is this the same quality as in-person? +

Yes. Document review, strategy, and legal analysis don't require being in the same room. Families in 30+ states have worked with Meghan this way.

Can I share my screen or documents during the call? +

Yes. Screen sharing is available if it helps to review documents together in real time.

What if I'm not sure which service I actually need? +

That's a fine place to start a consult. Meghan will listen to your situation and tell you honestly what kind of support makes sense — or whether you actually need less than you think.
